I am Slava
I build cloud infrastructure and the teams that run it.
Engineering leader, consultant, and architect in Seattle. I run Cool Consulting, LLC, where the work usually takes one of three shapes:
- Infrastructure Modernization, migrations, greenfield platforms, and CI/CD that engineers don't route around.
- Applications Full-stack development, from the API down to whatever is holding the deploy together.
- Programs Management of distributed teams, so work gets handed between them without being dropped.
I also teach workshops and give talks at conferences around the country, and keep office hours for engineers who want a second opinion.
Before this
Seven years at SADA leading Infrastructure Modernization delivery across AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes. I hired and trained the engineers who did that work, opened an office in Armenia, and got teams in five countries handing projects off to each other cleanly. Before that: Grindr and NordstromRack.com in Los Angeles, running fleets and release automation.
Off the clock
The garage is usually mid-project, the cameras are usually mid-roll, and I have an ongoing disagreement with my cats’ litter box about its firmware.
Something infrastructure-shaped stuck? Say hello — first beer is on me.
